Spacer ring manufactured by centrifugal casting in Taiwan 

Spacer ring manufactured by centrifugal casting is the top 1 product at our foundry recently.  There are many types of spacer ring and we produced SS304 spacer rings with large diameters a lot. One of the applications of SS304 spacer rings are used for heating service. Although SS304 is not the heat-resistant alloy, the material used as the spacer is good enough.

The spacer rings with the outside diameters around 200mm are the main rings we produced by centrifugal casting technique in the past three months.  Those spacer rings are the semi-finished products and they will be further machined to be the complicated types. 

Centrifugal casting is the good method to produce spacer rings- save much cost of machining 

Several machining shops placed the order of our stainless steel spacer rings. They love our rough machined spacer rings by centrifugal casting because those rings are with the proper dimensions.  They are easy to be machined to become the final products.  It saves much cost on each aspects of the machining. 

Could not get the ideal spacer rings produced by forging?

You should consider centrifugal casting！

Lots of customers mentioned that they could not get the spacer rings with the proper dimensions manufactured by forging.  They heard the spacer rings produced by centrifugal casting are able to replace forged rings. Therefore, they would like to know more regarding the centrifugally cast rings. 

Exactly, centrifugal casting is the liquid forging that is an alternative choice once you could not get the ideal ones from forging.  There are several academic papers showing that the mechanical properties of centrifugal casting are almost equal to forging.  Also, they might be better than forging when adjusting the casting parameters of some alloys. 

Smaller quantity order of the spacer rings is also possible when producing by centrifugal casting.  This is one of the advantages of centrifugal casting and good for customers who only want to order the one small batch for trial production.
