From the covid spread until today, lots of customers looked for the new material suppliers. And it’s a blessing in a disguise that we built up the new business relationships . For customers, the price of spun casting (centrifugal casting) made in Taiwan is higher than India and China. However, the delivery and quality are much stable. Changing the purchasing plans for spun castings during the covid time
Covid did not just cause health impacts, but also made some purchasers rethought the purchasing plan.
Before the covid, customers emphasized on how to decrease the price and shorten the delivery time. But, several customers think differently now. They are interested in how to purchase the high quality products with reasonable prices and whether the materials are made in a sustainable way. Cherishing and respecting the materials are what most enterprises learned during the hard time.
In the past two years, a lot of manufacturers stopped producing or foundries were closed due to the shortage of raw materials and human resources. This made purchasers that needed to find the new suppliers. We felt glad that several purchasers found us and they were interested in our enterprise culture and manufacturing scale for spun castings(centrifugal castings).
Stainless steel spun castings are what we focus
In Taiwan, only stainless steel and bronze are the two categories produced by spun casting(centrifugal casting). And we focus on developing stainless steel, heat-resistant alloys and other special alloys spun cast tubes, rings and hollow components.
Several materials are able to be manufactured by spun casting(centrifugal casting), however it would take time and gain experience to develop each material.
304, 316, 316L, 17-4PH,Ni-resist 1, CA15(410), CA6NM, HK40, HU, HF and HH are what we produce often for our local customers. For international clients, most of them have the demands of higher grade spun castings(centrifugal castings). For example, superduplex 2507. Thus, our R&D and manufacturing team work hard to meet their expectations.
Spun casting was used as an art?
Regarding the applications of spun casting(centrifugal casting) in Taiwan, most spun castings(centrifugal castings) are used in industries. Actually, spun castings(centrifugal castings) have already been made as arts in Europe because of its high durability.
Metal machining, heat-treatment, petrochemical, oil & gas industries are our main customers. We will need to expand our capability once we have an opportunity to work for arts.
