ASTM A297 HP tubes with small diameter produced by centrifugal casting technique

Producing small diameter tubes by centrifugal casting is always challenging.  

Our new project is the ASTM A297 HP tubes with the small diameter.  The outer diameter of the tube is 50 mm and the thickness is 7 mm. The diameter of 50 mm is the minimum diameter we could produce and it is also the smallest dimension that centrifugal casting is able to reach. 

Why using heat-resistant steel not stainless steel? 

What is the difference between heat-resistant steel and stainless steel? This is the frequent ask question.  Stainless steel with the heat resistant feature does not mean it is able to work well in the high temperature for a long period of  time.  The lower carbon of stainless steel  does not have the high strength in the high temperature environment.  The stainless steel tubes are easy to bend or deform in such condition for a long time.   Once the components that are intended to be used in the high temperature continuously, heat-resistant alloys should be top materials.  ASTM A297 HP is the one that should be considered. 

So, what is the application of ASTM A297 HP tubes?

The grade of ASTM A297 HP is with the superior heat and corrosion resistance and it is used for the components of furnaces. Our ASTM A297 HP tubes produced by centrifugal casting are used widely in different kinds of industrial furnaces. For example, they are used as the heat-resistant rollers.  In the recent years, HP centrifugally cast tubes played the vital role in green energy industry. They were used in the equipment to transform the gases to the energy we need.  HP centrifugally cast tubes are more value added in the new age!!
