What is the material of Alloy 330 (330, INCOLOY 330, SS330)?

Alloy 330 is the heat-resistant stainless steel that is with higher contents of Chromium ( 17~20 % by weight) and Nickel(34~37 % by weight).  It has excellent oxidation and carburization resistance. Additional 0.75~1.5% silicon enhances the oxidation resistance. This material has a quite long history used in heat-treating industry.  Our latest project of 330 centrifugally cast tubes for the trial production are used as the rollers at the heat-treating plant in U.S.A.. HT is the heat-resistant alloy for casting manufacturing process that is near Alloy 330 (330, INCOLOY 330, SS330)

Once customer has the demands of Alloy 330 centrifugally cast tubes, we will recommend him or her another alloy which is HT.  HT is also the austenitic alloy which has the good oxidation resistance, carburization resistance and thermal cycling at the temperature up to 1148 ° C in the long run. Therefore, this alloy is widely used as the material of the components for heat-treatment equipment.  HT is the cast grade that is similar to wrought grade 330. Heat-resistant alloys including HT were designed for centrifugal casting technique not for forging initially.
